I sometimes feel like my life is spent constantly looking for the next great binge. As soon as I step away from the screen, the bags under my eyes drooping towards my nose tip like swollen sacks of mud, I’m hit with a sudden sense of doom. What next?

Counterpart. That’s what. The fact that is features Oscar-winning J.K Simmons should be enough to entice you in, but the premise is a good one, and we’re expecting big things.

Simmons plays Howard Silk, a lowly cog in the bureaucratic machinery of a Berlin-based United Nations spy agency. Silk discovers that the agency are guarding a pretty big secret, there’s a crossing to a parallel dimension. You know what that means? A  double dose of J.K Simmons. There’s a brilliant moment in the trailer when Silk meets himself from a parallel universe.

Number-22

From the moment of his discovery, we’re promised a thriller that thrusts us into a shadow world full of of intrigue and danger. I, for one, cannot wait.

Watch the trailer here.

The critics at Rotten Tomatoes have scored it 100% and a second season has already been ordered. The show is going down well in the U.S, but a UK release date is yet to be confirmed. That’s right folks, I’ve found my next binge, I just don’t know when I’ll get to watch it.
